“For the past forty years I’ve been making photographs for this body of work I think of as “surreal documentary.” The photographs, for me, reflect a view of the world as a series of existential events — some that we experience as fleeting signs of a reality that lives on the edges of our consciousness. The images acknowledge that reality is an individual and collective creation.
