“These paintings are a phenomenological and psychic junction. In my works I strive to reflect on subjects such as assimilation and dissimilation, displacement and migration, comedy and tragedy, grotesque and equally sublime. These topics are the underlying fabric of my visual vocabulary and are conceptualized via the rendering of sequence-images, dissonance, inversion, modulation, and visual rebuses. I attempt to investigate these engagements by establishing a discourse between them via coloristic and contextual arrangements.”
