/ February 14, Going to the Hospital with My Father
We ate breakfast took medicine
fought the polluted air
We got up early waited at the hospital
identifying the footsteps of the ear doctor
We were silent sitting side by side
depositing silence into the air
One day two days hands behind our backs
standing on the slow-moving elevator
The scarf is new the ice and garbage are also new
we listen to each other until we can hear nothing
